Bronson's First day of School

He did great - Mommy had a bit of a hard time though.

He's so cute in his little uniform :)

AND A NOTE ABOUT THE SIDEBAR ADS:
You may have noticed that there are now ads in the side bar of this blog. It may be tacky, yes, but in general I've noticed that Google Ads does a good job of matching their particular advertisement to the content of the blog, so there may be some interesting offers popping up there. In all honesty, however, I thought I'd see if I'm able to make any money in my blogging. You see, the way it works is that for every blog visit and then for ever time someone clicks on an ad, a small bit of $ is given to the blogger. That's me. While I can not encourage you to click the ads (that's against the Adsense rules!!!) I did want to introduce the new feature on the blog so that you didn't think anyone hijacked it. It's totally my choice to put it there.

A Trip to the Zoo

It's been awhile, I know, I know.

The family is well, the boys are loving daycare and I am working full time at Caltech. I have 3 assignments, 3 desks in three separate buildings, and my own office in one. I love having my very own office. I like to keep it neat and organized. As a direct result I no longer feel the need to keep my house neat and organized (did I ever?).
Bronson has finished his skating lessons which he was not particularly fond of and now he is taking swimming lessons which he LOVES. Since B takes his lessons solo (teacher of course, but no parents anymore!) Edmund and I are in the other end of the pool doing the baby class. He too loves swimming. Matthew sits in the bleachers and watches us all.

Here's some pics from a trip to the zoo recently.
Here are a few of my chalk mural for the Pasadena chalk festival a few weeks ago. (Where we set a Guiness World Record for most chalk murals!)

And here's a cute video of Edmund. He loves his corn.

Also, for those crafty DIY types who like to see what I'm up to, check out the Fruit and Foliage blog and you might just recognize someone.

Happy Birthday Aunty Laura!

We had a special birthday dinner and cake for aunty Laura last Saturday.

Daddy came back from OVRO today and the boys were excited to play with him (and his guitar)

Daddy took Bronson skating there for the first time! A second time quickly followed a few days later in Port Alberni. B likes ice skating... I keep meaning to sign him up for lessons, oh look! It's spring now!

Edmund is 1!!!

Suprisingly my little guy who eats turnips and spinach and mango and papaya and dried apricots for lunch wasn't too interested in his carrot cake (I just had to make that for my little red head).

Bronson and I went to Toys R Us last weekend and Bronson bought a special present for Edmund ( a little piano with animals that spin and flip when you play it) He picked it all out on his own.

When we got home from school/daycare, this is what greeted us in the quad.

Turns out helium balloons were the best thing ever invented.

"Happy Birthday Edmund!"

We're back to our regularly scheduled programming!

AKA We're still here, and life is still crazy.

Everything Bronson says is true! We have moved (within the past month), both boys have contracted the chicken pox (within the past week)! and N has been removed from the alphabet (within the past hour).

We're now in a smaller, cheaper Caltech owned apartment building that is further from campus, but seeing as we've started the boys in full time daycare and have to drive them there anyways, the commute time has not changed.
I have been accepted to Art Center College of Design, and am holding out on accepting to see if I'm able to score a large enough scholarship to be able to afford the tuition. Until then, I am picking up a second part time job at Caltech to fill my afternoons, continuing to craft and cook and read (and unpack and clean and drive everyone around and dream big).

I doubt I'll be posting as regularly as I have in the past, but I hope to not have another great gap, as this has been (yes, we had a good Christmas, New years, Valentines day, groundhog day, my birthday).

The Stache

It has been requested that The Moustache be photographed and subsequently documented on the web. Well, here's it is:

Whoops! Wrong stache!

Let's try again:

Yup, there it is.

If you love it, you should donate to Matt, or his team Stache-Stronomy for Movember.

If you HATE it, you should donate to Matt or his team Stache-stronomy for Movember.
