New Years Eve and New Years Day

On new years eve we all went to the LA Zoo. Matthew and I have a membership to the zoo and Bronson loves going. There were many baby animals - baby gorilla (seen nursing below), baby orangutangs, baby giraffes, baby koala... it was an exciting day to be at the zoo - a koala had made it's way to the kangaroo pen next door, the lions did quite the roaring/growling feat when we came by, and even the kukoburra's were laughing. Bronson really enjoyed himself, as did we all.

For the evening, grandpa and grandma babysat while Matthew, Amy, Dan and I headed in to Hollywood to a large party at the Palladium (former stomping grounds of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, I'm told) It was a good party - 3 rooms of dj's and party hats galore. We had fun dancing, and then we headed home (after the post-party Denny's stop of course).

New Years day is a big day for Pasadena, with the Rose Bowl parade and the Rose Bowl game. Matthew took B to see the parade, mom joined him later and I came near the end. Bronson enjoyed sitting on our shoulders watching the huge magnificent floats, and he clapped for the marching bands as they went by. Some day we'll camp over night for front seats to the parade - it looks like it could be alot of fun, but for now I'm happy to be well-rested and near the back.
