Jenn and Bronson's excellent Canadian adventure!!!

Sorry for the break in blogging, we've been busy busy over here preparing for our next few trips. We are making a big wedding trip up to Canada in June/July and planning stops in Vancouver, Agassiz, Victoria, Port Alberni, Regina, Assiniboia, Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie.

At the moment however, Bronson and I (with big help from our families) have managed to scramble together a last minute trip up and will be hitting the Winnipeg/Portage area from April 18 to 24, then on to Port Alberni until May 3rd. It'll be nice to visit our families and get to attend Teri's bridal shower! I hope to post while in PA, but may not get the chance until we're back - so I guess it's up to Matthew to keep this site updated.

Here are some pictures of Bronson goofing off this month - he's in another growth spurt and sleeping much during the day, we even got a couple of 9 hour nights out of him this week. He's doing a funny high pitched half scream, I think it's to get a laugh, and it's not annoying, so it usually does. No new teeth poking through, but he is certainly scooting around fast these days.

Big smile from our super-happy-fun-ggod-looking kid.

We had a planned power outage overnight the other week - fine for most folks, but really annoying for a family where the dad stays up until 3 am studying, the baby sleeps with a nightlight and the mom wakes up "early" for a morning run. We had to stock up on flashlights, it turned out to not be so bad.

Bronson demonstrates how dinosaurs eat large insects.

Bronson finds that the Easter bunny came and left him... a Curious George book! And some chocolate for mom and dad... (dad's even had nuts to ward off mom)

This is an actual photo taken at ~1am of Bronson sleeping - he just loves Blue, unfortunately, Blue is as big as all of Bronson's travel belongings put together, so we're not sure if he'll make the trip up to Canada, we're also not sure if Bronson will be okay with that.

Bronson makes a goofy face as he gets the tickles from dad.

Howdy Howdy.

My birthday is coming up in about a month, so I thought I should put a list of things I want in a visible place for all you folks with money...

A Record Player (so I can listen to my records...)

The Feynman Lectures on Physics (This is a set of books... a little pricey, though)

A subscription to The Economist (I can't afford this on my own...)

Wool socks (mine are all wearing down in the heels...)

and some board games:

Robo Rally!

Warrior Knights

Republic of Rome (this one is out of print, but you can usually find a copy on eBay)

Well, now that that's out of the way, here are some pictures of Bronson.

Here he is rocking out. Rock!

He likes it when I read to him, but sometimes he gets sleeeeeeeeepy.

Visits and Swim fun!

On Friday we had some friends over for dinner and a game, Sarah, Joey & Elaina & Jesse! Here are some pics of Jesse & Bronson interacting. Jesse is 3 weeks older than B, and is crawling around everywhere, he's a speedy little guy. Although Bronson is bigger, he was overwhelmed by Jesse a couple times, mostly I think because he couldn't crawl away if he'd wanted to.

(note the cute monkey pyjama pants mom sewed for Bronson)

Swimming lessons are going well, Bronson is splashing alot now, and today he kicked and paddled! And there wasn't even a toy in front of him to entice him. I think he picked up a few tricks from Finn, a tiny little scrunched up 6 month old (so cute!)

Bronson and I went exploring the towns south of Pasadena yesterday, looking at their craft & scrapbooking stores. People kept stopping us to coo over Bronson, these 2 women were especially really nice, but I had to drag B away from them, they were so in love with him. Bronson is taking a huge np after swimming this morning, then we're going to see the Constable 6 ft paintings exhibit at Huntington, or we might just check out a new coffee shop around the corner - I'm exhausted after a run this morning, then a swim with a 21 lb weight dragging me down :)
